Team NAVY Fleet Air Arm
Story
I was privileged to be present in the room when Sir David Martin challenged us all "to create an environment where young people can grow up in safety with hope and with opportunity".
I am also privileged to be a part of Team NAVY Fleet Air Arm: a terrific group of Navy people whose day job is to keep Navy helicopters flying, who are no strangers to Service and to serve something bigger than self and to take themselves out of their comfort zone to get the job done.
The Abseil for Youth is not charity: it is a chance to raise much needed money to help provide the skills and tools for those young people who for whatever reason need the help and guidance to help themselves.
Here's your chance to roll up your sleeves and support something important, worthwhile and positive. FLY NAVY!

Activity
Sir David Martin Foundation
Sir David Martin Foundation was set up in 1990 by the much loved Governor of New South Wales, Sir David Martin, four days prior to his death. The Foundation aims to realise the dream of Sir David Martin of an Australian community “where children can grow up in safety with hope and opportunity”. The Foundation raises funds for innovative and effective Mission Australia run youth crisis programs. We provide care, counselling, training and support for young people in crisis and foster community understanding of their needs and potential. With the goal to get more young people off the streets, away from unhealthy situations and into care and rehabilitation. We aim to encourage them in a new sense of self belief so that they can face the community at large without the need for drugs, crime and homelessness.
