For a Good Corrs
Story
My Corrs colleagues and I are abseiling down 26 stories from the AMP building at Circular Quay to help raise money for the Sir David Martin Foundation.
The Sir David Martin Foundation aims to turn young lives around. They support the most disadvantaged youth whose circumstances are often too hard or too complex for simple support strategies. These young people are often struggling with addictions, homelessness, mental health issues, abuse, depression or self-harm.
We’re all grateful for the opportunities we’ve enjoyed – let’s pay it forward and help those who aren’t doing as well. The money the foundation raises goes towards rehabilitation programs, preventative services, creative programs, Shopfront Youth Legal Centre and individual scholarships.
As if that isn’t reason enough to chip in some cash, think about us abseiling down the side of a building!
No matter how big or small, each donation makes a difference.

Sir David Martin Foundation
Sir David Martin Foundation was set up in 1990 by the much loved Governor of New South Wales, Sir David Martin, four days prior to his death. The Foundation aims to realise the dream of Sir David Martin of an Australian community “where children can grow up in safety with hope and opportunity”. The Foundation raises funds for innovative and effective Mission Australia run youth crisis programs. We provide care, counselling, training and support for young people in crisis and foster community understanding of their needs and potential. With the goal to get more young people off the streets, away from unhealthy situations and into care and rehabilitation. We aim to encourage them in a new sense of self belief so that they can face the community at large without the need for drugs, crime and homelessness.
